NOTE: Products alone cannot be LEED certified. While our coating systems and materials can contribute to LEED certification, it is up to the architect, general contractor, and facility owner to see that products are used in a way that meets USGBC guidelines for LEED. Meets Indoor Air Quality Requirements (Indoor Low Emitting Materials, IEQ 4.1-4.2)

  • Kretus products are third-party tested and MAS Certified Green  per California Department of Public Health Standard Method v1.2.

  • As a Southern California-based business, we’ve formulated products to meet the lowest VOC-emitting standards in the country (SCAQMD VOC Rule 1113).

  • Once fully cured, all coatings are VOC free.

  • Installed coatings continue to protect building occupants by mitigating the risk of radon and other harmful gas emissions.

  • No harsh chemical cleaning products required: Seamless coatings are non-porous, so they won’t harbor dust or microbes, which makes them easy to clean.

Maintains Structural and Non-structural Elements (Building Reuse, MR 1.1-1.3)

  • Our resinous coatings can extend the lifecycle of existing concrete, masonry, drywall, metal, and wood surfaces.

  • Decorative coatings and moisture mitigation systems help to conserve materials, retain cultural resources, reduce waste, and lower environmental impact.

Diverts Waste From Landfills (Construction Waste Management, MR 2.1-2.2)

  • Most of our products are housed in recyclable packaging.

  • We ship like products together and use a national distribution network to minimize packaging materials.

  • For large installations, we recommend our totes to dramatically reduce waste.

Increases the Amount of Recycled Materials (Recycled Content, MR 4.1-4.2)

  • Recycled aggregates and broadcasts are available upon request.

Promotes the Use of Locally Sourced Materials (Regional Materials, MR 5.1-5.2)

  • Most coatings are manufactured in Orange County, California.

  • Other manufacturing facilities are located in New Jersey, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

Reduces the Depletion of Raw Materials (Rapidly Renewable Materials, MR 6)

  • Select products are formulated with rapidly renewable biobased materials.
